***IMPORTANT*** Update on COVID Level RED - Control
Hamilton Ringette has just received further clarification regarding the restrictions being placed on the programming we can offer during Level RED - Control. While we understand that this is not an ideal situation for anyone, we will continue to abide by the guidelines laid out for us by public health. Based on the feedback from the survey that was sent out last night, the HRA will endeavour to offer further restricted programming for those families that wish to continue training. However, due to the limited notice, we will be cancelling all scheduled program for this coming weekend, November 21 & 22, 2020.
The new guidelines we will be following include:
- 10 people max per facility - this must encompass coaches, athletes, guardians and trainers
- Therefore, due to the limit of 10 people in the facility, no guardians will be permitted access
- Athletes will be required to arrive at the facility entrance in full equipment, we will attempt to have a skate tying station outside the door (further clarification on this is TBD)
- Strict enforcement of RSVP requirements
- Strict enforcement of Health Attestation requirements
- Persons displaying ANY signs of illness will not be permitted to take part in any HRA sanctioned event
- Hamilton Ringette reserves the right to deny access to the facilities if guidelines are not met.
Because of the restrictions put in place, Hamilton Ringette will be placing a temporary pause on the Fundamentals program. Due to the age of the athletes, and the requirement to prevent access to guardians at this time, we feel it is in the best interest of this group to sit out the next few weeks until we have a better understanding of how we can proceed. Our hope is to get our future ringette stars back on the ice as soon as possible.
This will be a new experience for all involved, and we ask you for your continued patience and understanding as we navigate through this new list of protocols. As stated previously, our goal is to continue to offer the best programming possible, while keeping all of our members safe and healthy. These new guidelines will make it much more difficult on everyone involved; it is vital that you inform us of your intentions, as soon as possible, to allow us sufficient time to plan for the coming weeks. Please complete the
survey to inform us of your decision, if this new information changes the decision of anyone that has already completed the survey, please email
Steph Parker with your new information. These guidelines will remain in place for a minimum of 28 days, until the number of COVID cases drop, and the City of Hamilton is removed from the Level RED - control category.
Together we can work through this! #Allin #GoHeatGo
