News: Come Try Reffing Ringette
Posted by Webmaster, Posted: 28 days ago

Do you want to experience what it is like to referee a real ringette game? Ever wonder what ringette referees do during games and tournaments? If yes, then Paris Ringette has an opportunity for you!

Come join members of the officiating community that will guide you through a game and how referees are evaluated. BRING ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS, it will be the best time to pick the brains of some of the most experienced officials in the province.

Anybody is welcome to try (player, mom, dad, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, hockey ref). You will require a whistle, a helmet with no face mask or a visor, skates and black pants. A ref jersey is optional.

Register with the following link: (via Google Forms)
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1BKtasvEZjQraQLQV2uGcfXWCD3GH3lH33ZxBOtYyB5g/edit?usp=sharing

How it will work:

We will meet in a meeting room at 11:30 am to go over the event. The game will start at 12pm.

There will be instructors in the dressing room to help prepare you for your shift.

There will be two fully dressed officials to assist on the ice.

Each participant will have an evaluator assigned to watch you during the game and speak with you directly after your shift.

Once the game is complete we will gather in the meeting room for a group discussion.

Any questions please contact Marc Brisson at marc.brisson3@gmail.com

See you on the ice!
